RISHI I. NIJHAWAN, DMD, FICOI
Dr. Rishi I. Nijhawan, born and raised in New Jersey, has been a resident of Branchburg for the past 20 years. Being inspired by his orthodontist as a child, he pursued his interest in dentistry by going to the New Jersey Institute of Technology‘s 7-Year Accelerated Dental Program. After being a part of the Albert Dorman Honors College, where he received a bachelor’s degree in engineering science in only three years, he subsequently received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, becoming the youngest dentist in his graduating class. At UMDNJ, Dr. Nijhawan was inducted to Gamma Pi Delta, the National Prosthodontic Honor Society.To advance his training and experience after graduation, Dr. Nijhawan successfully completed a rigorous general practice residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Dr. Nijhawan has received a two-year fellowship in Oral Implantology from the prestigious NYU Dental Post-Graduate Program. He is a current Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology. Dr. Rishi has been doing surgical extractions, bone grafting, and placing dental implants for over 10 years.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, relaxing at the beach, playing sports, and watching movies. In fact, he has even acted in an Indian Bollywood film! Most importantly, Dr. Nijhawan’s passion for the dental arts is evident through his compassion and care for each and every patient. His friendly smile and personality has been featured on the cover of The New Dentist magazine.
